The decorata View in CoL -group
The decorata -group is a well-defined monophyletic clade supported by one synapomorphy and four homoplasies. The modified posterior pale spots on the dorsum of opisthosoma represented by a series of transverse median bands fusing with additional pair of round spots (Ch. 20, state 2) is synapomorphic and occurs only in the decorata - group. The homoplasious characters include: the strongly granulated carapace (Ch. 1, state 1); the short and robust PVS (Ch. 23, state 4) arranged in two rows (Ch. 20, state 2); the presence of a triangular second RTA (Ch. 50, state 1).
Males can be easily recognized by the following characters: the TA of the male palp has a bifid apical process and at least one strongly pronounced prolateral fold ( Figs 314, 319 View FIGURES 314–320. 314–320 ); the elongated embolus is generally filiform; the baso-retrolateral side of tegulum is distinctly enlarged to accommodate a well-developed tegular spine ( Figs 336–337 View FIGURES 336–340. 336 , 347 View FIGURES 347–353. 347–349 , 354 View FIGURES 354–356. 354–356 ); the conductor is composed of a sharply pointed apex, an anteriorly extended basal sclerite, and a blunt dorsal process. Females can be recognized by the lenticular epigynal plate ( Figs 321–322 View FIGURES 321–326. 321–323, 326 , 327–328 View FIGURES 327–331. 327–329 ). The epigastric furrow is strongly rebordered ( Figs 322 View FIGURES 321–326. 321–323, 326 , 328 View FIGURES 327–331. 327–329 ). Internally, the insemination ducts are relatively long and abruptly bent posteriorly ( Figs 323–325 View FIGURES 321–326. 321–323, 326 ); the spermathecae are elongate, their internal ducts are convolute and provided with several apical coils ( Figs 323–325 View FIGURES 321–326. 321–323, 326 , 329 View FIGURES 327–331. 327–329 ).
Species account. Six species: Mallinella decorata ( Thorell, 1895) , M. digitata Zhang et al. 2011 , M. filicata sp. nov., M. filifera sp. nov., M. immaculata Zhang & Zhu, 2009 , M. innovata sp. nov.
Distribution. Thailand, Burma, China and Sumatra.
