Distribution
Widely distributed in North America and Eurasia regions ( Rafinejad et al. 2014, Nateghpour and Akbarzadeh 2017, Sharma et al. 2018). This species has been reported from Asian countries including Pakistan ( Fatima and Yang 2022, Sugiama 1989).
Notes
It is commonly referred to as the red-tailed flesh fly and is known to be a potential vector for disease due to its tendency to breed in carrion and faeces ( Nateghpour and Akbarzadeh 2017). This species with the first documented record in the study area was observed from May to November (Fig. 12 View Figure 12 ).
