( Figs. 42 View FIGURE 42 , 43 View FIGURE 43 )

Harpyrhynchoides parazumpti Fain, Bochkov and Mironov, 1999: 43 , figs. 13–16 (type in ZISP, examined).

Redescription. FEMALE (5 specimens from Corvus brachyrhynchos , Fig. 42 View FIGURE 42 ). Body, including gnathosoma, 380– 400 long and 310–330 wide. Gnathosoma about 100 long and 125 wide. Palp 48–50 long and 44–47 wide, with 4– 5 short lateral striae. Palpalae thickened, different in shape ( Fig. 42 View FIGURE 42 C): dF and dG about 30 long and 25 long, respectively, about 2 times thicker than l”G 15–16 long. Setae dG with 7–8 pectinations. Setae vF about 85 long, smooth. Subcapitulum ventrally with 3 pairs of membranous lateral projections. Peritrematal branch about 50 long. Idiosoma 300–3250 long. Smooth cuticle between peritrematal branches and transverse striations apunctate. All dorsal setae slightly serrate. Dorsal shield unornamented, 140–150 long and 165–170 wide, hexagonal, with almost straight anterior and posterior margins. Idiosoma ventrally without scales or verrucosities, almost completely striated striated excluding area between setal bases 3a and pocket-like vulvar structure. Setae 1a situated slightly posterior to level of setal bases 1c. Setae 3a situated at level of coxal fields III. Distance between setal bases 3a about 2 times longer than between setal bases 1a. Coxal fields I and II with membranous fold in posterior part. Vulvar pocket-like structure without long lateral longitudinal folds. Vulvar apodemes weakly discernible. Ventral setae h1 absent. Lengths of setae: vi, ve, si, se, and c2 —all 100–115, h2 about 80. Solenidia ω 1 I and ω 1 II 1about 12 long, narrow and slightly curved, with pointed apex. Empodium of tarsi I and II not elongated, only slightly longer or subequal to respective tarsus. Genua I and II with 3 setae (d, l’, v’), femora I and II with 2 setae (d and v), trochanters I and II with 1 seta (v). Apical segment of leg III with 5 setae; preapical segment with 1 seta. Leg IV with 1 segment bearing 4 setae.

Description. MALE (1 specimen from Corvus brachyrhynchos , Fig. 43 View FIGURE 43 ). Body, including gnathosoma, 285 long and 215 wide. Gnathosomal length and width subequal, about 85. Palp 43 long and 31 wide, with few short lateral striations. Palpalae strongly different in shape ( Fig. 43 View FIGURE 43 C): dG 12 long, slightly thicker than dF 25 long and l”G 11 long. Setae vF 65 long, smooth. Subcapitulum ventrally as in female. Idiosoma 215 long. Smooth cuticle between peritrematal branches and transverse striations apunctate. Dorsal shield 145 long and 150 wide; with almost straight anterior margin and slightly attenuated posterior part. Aedeagus 100 long, almost straight, with curved posterior part, situated anterior to genital opening. Genital opening situated close to posterior end of dorsal shield. Genital arch 33 long. Genital setae about 8 long; setae g2 situated equidistant to g1 and g3. Distances between g1–g1, g2–g2, and g3–g3 subequal, about 16. Setae vi 35 long, smooth; ve, si, se, and c2 —all slightly serrate, about 85 long. Idiosoma ventrally without scales or verrucosities, fully striated excluding median area around setal bases 3a. Coxal fields I and II with membranous fold in posterior part. Leg I and II setation as in female. Solenidion ω 1 I 16 long, solenidion ω 1 II 19, in shape as in female. Apical segment of leg III with 5 setae; preapical segment with 1 seta. Leg IV with 1 segment bearing 4 setae.
