Type species: Acrorrhinium conspersus Noualhier, 1895
Diagnosis: Body elongate, weakly ant-mimetic or nearly parallel-sided; coloration of dorsum yellow-brown or deep brown, coloration pattern either mottled or with one or two contrasting hemelytral maculae; head rounded; eyes protuberant, nearly hemispherical, far from anterior margin of pronotum; frons strongly convex, projecting and spiniform; clypeus robust and protuberant, nearly vertical; antenna long, less or subequal to the length of body; pronotum with flattened collar, anterior and posterior lobe clearly demarcated; scutellum distinctly convex, forming a protuberant hump; hemelytra with decumbent, shining sericeous setae and suberect or declined, yellow-brown simple setae, both types of setae short and sparse; metathorax scentgland area relatively small; parempodia hairlike. This genus could be easily separated from other genera in Hallodapini by the projecting spiniform frons.
