Type locality: Korea, Gojeong-ri, Songsan-myeon, Hwaseong-si , Gyeonggi-do. 37°15'22.5"N 126°44'45.3"E GoogleMaps

Diagnosis: Differentiated from P. breviceps by males having the lateral process of conjunctive processes of aedeagus with a great extension of the sclerotized area, at the apices but not bifurcate. Females having laterotergite IX not surpassing outline of laterotergite VIII, clearly surpassing in P. breviceps ; gonocoxite IX concave at base and slightly curved apex. Posterior external margin of gonocoxites slightly angulate, rounded in P. breviceps .

Description: Total body length (8.29–8.76, 8.34–9.68), maximum abdominal width (5.01–5.24, 5.06–5.39). Ventral and dorsal sides of body sandy yellowish, with black punctuation (distance between punctures exceeding puncture diameter). Dorsal surface of abdomen dark brown, ventral surface of abdomen yellowish, with black punctuation (figs. 1a & b).

Head: Length (1.68–1.71, 1.84–1.96), width (2.26–2.29, 2.29–2.41). Eyes slightly protruding beyond head profile. Length of head anterior to eyes (0.92–1.03, 0.91–0.96); interocular distance (1.48–1.52, 1.53–1.67). Juga and clypeus of variable proportions, juga never enclosing clypeus. Rostrum just surpassing metacoxae Length of antennal segment I (0.28–0.39, 0.31–0.40), II (0.51–0.59, 0.54–0.56), III (0.74–1.85, 0.75–0.78), IV (0.84–1.05, 0.92–0.96), V (1.12–1.29, 1.03–1.06), segments I, II, and III concolourous with general coloration, segments IV and V bicolored, contrasting; black with base concolourous with general habitus coloration.

Pronotum: Straight sides bordered with whitish-yellow costa, slightly deflexed upwards, pronotal length at median (1.81–2.04, 1.96–2.17), maximum pronotal width (5.06–5.12, 5.02–5.39). Lateral angles widely rounded, almost not projecting beyond hemelytral base. Scutellum slightly longer (3.20–3.37, 3.44–3.63) than wide (3.12–2.19, 3.14–3.34); Scutellum paler at apex. Hemelytra concolourous with body, membrane of hemelytra light brown, slightly darker than dorsal coloration, translucent. Membrane veins scarcely marked.

Abdomen: dorsally, disc of connexivum yellow, punctures concolourous, no contrast on anterior and posterior margins. Spiracles rounded, black. Dorsal abdominal tergites dark brown, densely scattered with piliferous tubercles. Legs concolourous with ventral surface of thorax; femora with black punctured markings.

Male genitalia: Pygophore (fig. 1c, d & e) rectangular to trapezoidal; genital cup well exposed dorsally; posterolateral angles of pygophore angulate, blunt, not produced; ventral rim sinuate with a double depression medially; dorsal rim concave, broadly U-shaped. Aedeagus (figs. 1f–h) with 3 pairs of conjunctival processes. Lateral process of aedeagus not bifurcate, sinuous and sclerotized. Paramere narrow, straight; hypophysis flat, with acute apex, triangulate with rounded edges, spherical lobe at base (figs. 1i –k).

Female genitalia (figs. 1l, m, 2): Laterotergite IX widened at apex, spatulate, short, not surpassing outline of laterotergite VIII; gonocoxite IX wide, trapezoidal, with concave base and slightly curved apex. Posterior internal margins of gonocoxites VIII rounded, external margins slightly angulate. Laterotergite VIII smooth, somewhat triangular. Spermatheca (figs. 2a, b) with small spherical bulb bearing 3 processes, two reaching anterior annular flange (aaf), one slightly surpassing posterior annular flange (paf), long sclerotized duct narrowed toward base, ductus receptaculi short (fig. 2c).

Distribution: Known only from the type locality.

Etymology: This species is named after the recently born daughter of two members of the laboratory of systematic entomology (CNU), Hodan Lee and Sumin Oh, for her help and contributions. Their daughter’s name, Rumi Lee, is pronounced as Irumi in Korean Language. Noun in genitive case.
