Xenylla carolinensis Wray, 1946 , new synonym of Xenyllodes armatus Axelson, 1903

Specimens examined. Six specimens labeled “ type series”, USA, North Carolina, Raleigh, 5 May 1943, 6 miles east on banks of Neuse River, dead leaves in stump cavity, M. W. Wig, coll.

Remarks. These specimens clearly are not Hypogastruridae , but fit well within the limits of Xenyllodes armatus (Odontellidae) given by Christiansen & Bellinger (1980, 1998).
