Distribution.
The only subspecies present in the Southern Cone extending north to Bolivia and Brazil: Chile (Cuming 280, Buchtien s.n. [19/11/1895]); Bolivia (Wood 19217, Bang 990); Argentina (Seijo 1354, Venturi 5464); Uruguay (Gibert s.n.); Brazil (Glaziou 19668). 0-2800 m.
Notes.
Convolvulus hermanniae is distinguished from Convolvulus crenatifolius by its few-flowered peduncles and dense white-tomentellous indumentum. From Convolvulus bonariensis it differs in its white-tomentellous leaves. Subsp. erosus is unique amongst American taxa because of its hirsute ovary and capsule. O’Donell 1957: 167-169 Figure 8; O’Donell 1959: 277.
