Redescription. FEMALE. Body length 2.8–3.1 mm; LFW 1.8 mm.

Color. Head: mandible black, antenna castaenous. Mesosoma dark castaneous; fore wing subhyaline, veins castaenous; legs yellow except coxa and femora dark castaenous, tarsal claw dark castaenous. Metasoma black.

Head ( Figs 2–4 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ): 1.1 × as long as wide, coriaceous; lateral margin convex, posterior margin straight, posterolateral corner forming round angle in dorsal view; ventro-lateral surface polished. Mandible with four minute teeth. Clypeus well-developed, anterior margin angulated; fronto-clypeal median longitudinal carina developed, exceeding antennal socket. First antennal segments in ratio of 2.6: 1.1: 1.0: 1.2: 1.2 in length; from scape to flagellomere 3 and 11 2.0, 1.5, 1.3, 1.3, 1.2 and 2.0 × as long as wide, respectively. Frons and vertex coriaceous with sub-erect hairs and sparse small punctures, aparted from each other by 2.0–4.0 × as wide as their maximum diameter. WF 1.2 × LE, WF 0.6 × WH. Compound eye 0.31 mm long with short erect hairs. LE 1.7 × OOL, WF 2.0 × WOT. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle obtuse, POL 2.0 × AOL, OOL 1.0 × WOT. Vertex coriaceous with eight long hairs.

Mesosoma ( Figs 5–7 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ): Pronotum coriaceous, 0.5 × as long as wide with sparse hairs, antero-lateral corner rounded. Mesoscutum coriaceous; notauli absent; parapsidal furrows thin and anteriorly divergent. Scutellum polish and coriaceous with sparse small punctures; scutellar pits oval, oblique and connected by very thin transverse groove, pit aparted from each other by 4.2 × as wide as their maximum. Propodeal disc 0.6 × as long as wide; lateral carina complete, transverse carina present only postero-lateral corner; disc coriaceous except median longitudinal smooth surface, distally broaden in dorsal view; declivity weakly coriaceous with complete marginal carina; lateral surface coriaceous. Fore wing with short hairs and closed areolet; radial vein curved outward at apex; pterostigma 0.16 mm long; metacarpo absent.

Metasoma ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ): Terga 1–3 polished with few very fine punctures and short hairs on lateral surface. Terga 4–7 polished with few fine punctures and denser hairs on distal surface.

MALE. Body length 1.7 mm. Color. Body blackish brown; mandible yellow; fore leg yellow; middle and hind coxa and femora castaenous; middle and hind trochanter, tibia and tarsi yellow. Head as long as wide; posterior margin weakly convex; frons and vertex coriaceous; median lobe of clypeus angulated. Pronotum and mesonotum coriaceous. Propodeum 1.4 × as long as wide; median area smooth; sublateral area coriaceous; transverse carina absent ( Terayama, 2006).

Distribution. Korea (GG, GW, CB, CN, Daejeon, JB, JN, GB), Japan (Honshu, Kyushu). Newly recorded from Korea.

Remarks. This is most common species among Korean Goniozus .
