Australopericoma Vaillant, 1975: 172 View in CoL . Type species, Pericoma caudata Satchell, 1955 View in CoL (by synonymy with the type species, Pericoma wirthi Quate, 1955 View in CoL ).

Comm.: With 15 species described to date, this New World genus is found distributed from the United States of America to Argentina ( Quate & Brown 2004, Bravo 2007a), and is represented by a single species in Colombia. Quate & Brown (2004) revised the genus and presented a key for the identification of species.
