Riemenzunge
Knollen nicht geteilt, kugelig oder eiförmig. Stengel beblättert. Blütenstand zylindrisch, allseitswendig. Perigonblätter zusammenneigend und einen Helm bildend. Lippe 3teilig, die seitlichen Abschnitte schmal, bandförmig, Mittelabschnitt sehr lang, bandförmig, schraubig gedreht, in der Knospenlage spiralig aufgewickelt. Sporn kurz.
Die Gattung Himantoglossum umfaßt 7 Arten, 5 davon in Kleinasien, im Kaukasus, auf der Krim und in den Balkanländern; H. longibracteatum (Biv.) Schlechter (eigene Sektion) im Mediterrangebiet.
