Basionym.

Angraecum pungens Schlechter (1906: 163). Type: Cameroon. Man O’War Bay, auf Baümen bei Kriegschiffhafen, 03°57'N, 09°14'E, 27 September 1905, Schlechter 15774 (holotype: B, destroyed; lectotype: K [K000107121]!, isolectotypes: BM [BM000539131]!, BR [BR000000642136]!).
