Current name: Lisianthius cordifolius L. ( Gentianaceae ).

Note: This name appears to be an illegitimate replacement for L. biflorus L. (1759) . The latter is validated solely by reference to an account of Lisianthius species no. 2 in Browne (Civ. Nat. Hist. Jamaica: 157. 1756), which also includes an illustration (t. 9, f. 2). Linnaeus later substituted L. cordifolius L. (1767) for it. The latter, although in use, therefore appears to be illegitimate.
