Diagnosis. ocelli arranged almost in a crossbar, medium ocellus slightly below the lateral ocelli; tibia I with large and elongated external tympanum and without internal tympanum; ectophallic arc wide, basal concavity accentuated and semicircular, apical convexity more pronounced in the central region, right in apical direction when in lateral view; rami connected at the basal portion, rectangular, longer than wide, apical end simple; pulse period 12.26–12.59ms, pulse rate between 80–82p/s.
Description. body dark brown, legs lighter than abdomen, corpulent. Head tawny; vertex bulged with bands alternating shades of brown; eyes black with depigmented ommatidia in the supra-internal region; three lighter ocelli disposed almost in horizontal line, medium ocellus slightly below than the lateral ocelli; medium ocellus extended horizontally with the bottom edge straight and the upper edge concave; scape, pedicel and flagellum uniform in color; gena lighter than the rest of the head; clypeus with some depigmented areas; labrum lighter in the lower portion; epistomal suture with dark mark in the tips; mandible dark with black apex; maxillary palp with five palpomeres, first and second shorter, third larger than fourth, fifth largest, enlarged, apex truncated and grooved; labial palp with three palpomeres, third largest, truncated and grooved. Thorax: pronotum dark brown, almost black, pubescent; pronotum disk with median line copper; two bilateral coppers marks in leaf form, each marked with an inner black line, anterior margin convex and black, posterior margin straight; anterior margin of the lateral lobe with right angle and triangular depigmentation, posterior margin rounded, depressed and dilated; prosternum, mesosternum and metasternum light brown and pubescent. Legs pubescents; legs I and II similar; coxa and trochanter lighter; femur I lighter than tibia I; external tympanum large and elongated, internal tympanum absent; tibia I with one external and two internal apical spurs; femur II lighter in the proximal portion; tibia II with two external and two internal apical spurs; femur III robust, darker on the external lateral and dorsoapical portion; tibia III without spines, variable number of subapical spurs, seven external and five internal in the right tibia III, seven external and six internal on the left tibia III; three external apical spurs, the first short, the second longer than the third; three internal apical spurs, the second and third subequal and longer than the first; basitarsus III with two rows of seven dorsal spines, two apical spurs, the internal longer than the external. Right tegmen covering the abdomen; dorsal field lighter, harp and mirror hyalines; basal area with vein 1A visible in the parallel portion of the stridulatory file; chordal area with veins Cu2 and 1A parallel and arcuate, veins 2A and 3A parallel to the tegmen border, one small vein connecting Cu2 to the mirror; apical area developed and reticulate; harp with two cross veins; mirror cross vein semicircular; veins M, R and Sc light, six hyalines accessory veins; stridulatory file with 59 teeth; metathoracic wings absent. Abdomen: tergites dark with a light longitudinal median line; supra-anal plate with posterior border straight; sternites with two longitudinal median lines, last sternite darker than the others; subgenital plate apex rounded, two anterior bilateral black marks; cerci uniform and with bristles. Genitalia: pseudepiphallic median lobes elongated, slender and dentated; lateral apex of the pseudepiphallic parameters slender, shorter than the median lobes; repli ectophallic ventral sclerotized, with extremity reaches the pseudepiphallic parameters; ectophallic arc wide, basal concavity accentuated and semicircular, apical convexity more pronounced in the central region, right in apical direction when in lateral view; rami connected at the basal portion, rectangular, longer than wide, apical end simple and truncated.
Calling song (25°C; 19:30h): discontinuous and irregular trill; trill duration 3.35 ± 0.99s (2.29–5.07; n=10); interval between trill 0.7 ± 0.42s (0.35–1.56; n=10); pulse period 12.59 ± 0.035ms (12.33–12.83; n=10); pulse rate of 80p/s; dominant frequency of 5340Hz.
Measurements (mm): body length = 18.63; pronotal length = 3.01; pronotal width = 5.35; head width = 5.24; interocular distance = 3.01; femur III length = 11.87; tibia III length = 7.88; tibia III + basitarsus length = 11.53; cerci length = 7.76; tegmen length = 12.5; tegmen width = 8.2; file length = 2.9.
Observations in paratype: stridulatory file with 73 teeth. Calling song (25,5°C; 18:30h): continuous trill; pulse period 12.26 ± 0.012ms (12.1–12.38; n=10); pulse rate of 82p/s; dominant frequency of 5510Hz; registered in the late afternoon, before sunset, stridulating in shrubby vegetation; the cricket emits the calling song for a while, stopped and turned his body to stridulate in another direction.
Measurements (mm): body length = 16.82; pronotal length = 3.19; pronotal width = 4.86; head width = 4.95; interocular distance = 2.67; femur III length = 10.95; tibia III length = 7.08; tibia III + basitarsus length = 10.57; tegmen length = 11.45; tegmen width = 7.69; file length = 2.79.
