PANAMA: Chiriquí (H. W. Bates 1888, Nonfried 1892, Ohaus 1918, 1934b, Blackwelder 1944, Machatschke 1972, Maes 1987, Morón 1990, Hawks 2001, Ratcliffe 2002, Thomas et al. 2006, Krajcik 2008).

Types.

1 ♀ lectotype and 8 paralectotypes of Plusiotis aurora chrysopedila  at BMNH ( Hawks 2001); 1 paralectotype at CNC ( Hawks 2001).
