CURRENT STATUS. A junior synonym of Anthophora bimaculata (Panzer, 1798)

(Brooks 1988: 561).

DISTRIBUTION. Russia: European part; Europe, Georgia, Turkey, Iran, Uzbekistan,

Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, China.

REMARK. The species was described from the males collected in “in prov. Orenburgensi”.

There is only one male in IZKP from this locality (Orenburg), which corresponds to the original description of Eversmann. This male is designated here as a lectotype of Anthophora albifrons Eversmann ( Fig. 11 View Figs 1–24 ) .
