Etymology. The species name refers to the peculiar shape of the paracymbium; adjective.

Diagnosis. The new species is very similar to B. floralis Tu & Li, 2006 and to the Japanese B. robustus Oi, 1960 , but the male can easily be distinguished by the presence of a swollen outgrowth at middle part of the paracymbium and the smaller embolic coil. The female differs by a short but clearly developed scapoid, while in B. floralis and B. robustus the scapoid looks like a small knob, as well as by the loops of the entrance ducts in B. paracymbialis which are wider than in the other two species.

Description. Male (paratype from Tham Pasat Thia, Laos). Total length 1.93. Carapace unmodified, 0.88 long, 0.70 wide, greyish pale brown. Eyes normal. Chelicerae 0.35 long. Legs pale brown, yellow. Leg I, 3.87 long (0.98+0.23+1.03+0.98+0.65), IV, 3.89 long (1.05+0.20+1.03+0.98+0.63). Chaetotaxy. TiI: 2-1-1-0, II: 2-0-1-0, III-IV: 2-0-0-0; metatarsi spineless. Metatarsi I–III with a trichobothrium each. TmI, 0.26. Palp ( Figs 15–19 View FIGURES 15 – 23 ): Paracymbium with a swollen outgrowth at middle part. Lower part of tegulum with a thick process directed backward. Suprategulum with two apophyses: one as a narrow stripe bifurcated apically directed forward, other one wide and rounded directed downward. Embolic plate (sensu Beatty & al. 1991; Saaristo 1995) (= lamella or lamella characteristica auct.) large, flat, with dorsad projection proximally. Embolus relatively thick and short, coiled. Opisthosoma 1.03 long, 0.48 wide, dorsally with a buckling in first third. Colouration: anterior part of opisthosoma pale, posterior part grey with indistinct pale transverse stripes.

Female (paratype from Oudomxai City). Total length 2.00. Carapace unmodified, 0.90 long, 0.65 wide, greyish pale brown. Eyes normal. Chelicerae 0.40 long. Legs pale brown, yellow. Leg I, 3.91 long (1.00+0.25+1.05+0.98+0.63), IV, 3.79 long (1.00+0.25+1.03+0.88+0.63). Chaetotaxy. FeI: 1-1-0-0, II: 1-0-0-0, III-IV: 0-0-0-0; TiI: 2-1-1-0, II: 2-0-1-0, III-IV: 2-0-0-0; metatarsi spineless. Metatarsi I–III with a trichobothrium each. TmI, 0.23. Opisthosoma 1.08 long, 0.68 wide, dorsally without buckling, grey to dark grey, in some specimens with indistinct pattern of pale transverse stripes. Epigynum ( Figs 20–23 View FIGURES 15 – 23 ): Anterior wall with a small conical scapoid (= scapus, auct.), posterior median plate with a narrow parmula. Entrance ducts making two wide loops. Receptacula almost spherical.

Variation. Body and leg coloration vary from pale to dark; the paracymbial outgrowth can be pointed to rounded, edge of scapoid can be transparent, which makes it shape visually different from the depicted in Figs 20–22 View FIGURES 15 – 23 .

Distribution. Laos, Thailand, West Malaysia.
