Subgenus Polyblepharis Bezzi
The subgenus Polyblepharis (with E. albicans Meigen, 1822 as type-species) currently includes 70 species. Only two species ( E. brandti Shamshev & Grootaert, 2005 and E. turanica Shamshev & Grootaert, 2005 ) have been recorded from Iran ( Shamshev & Grootaert 2005). We found for the first time four other species of this subgenus from Iran.
