Body length 26.5–32.6 mm (♂); 24.5–28.0 mm (♀) ( Lin, 2021).

Description. Male. Body reddish, body surface covered with vestiture of short, yellowish setae. Head, including widest region of mandibular bases, subequal in width to pronotum and elytra. Head reddish, surface, and basal mandibles covered with vestiture of short, yellowish setae; mandibles incurved along midlength and apical 1/3; major inner mandibular tooth absent;>5 small inner mandibular teeth located from apices to bases of mandibles; apical mandibular forks poorly developed, not branched anteriorly. Anterolateral ridges of head weakly rounded, posterolateral margin of head convex, subparallel with anterolateral ridges; clypeolabrum weakly developed, poorly triangular apically. Thorax pronotum reddish but with brownish spot mesally; surface more setose than those of head and mandibles; poorly convex; subequal in length to head and mandibles; prothoracic tibiae yellowish, each bearing>7 well developed spines from apex to distal 1/3; mesothoracic tibiae yellowish, each bearing three spines along midlength; metathoracic tibiae yellowish, each bearing two poorly developed spines along basal 1/3. Elytra reddish, punctate, concolorous with head and pronotum; slender, widest at apical 1/3, strongly narrow at basal 1/3. Genitalia. According to Lin (2021), male genetalic characters of L. yulaoensis include: transverse membranous areas along lateral aspects of basal piece; median lobe markedly wider, nearly 2/ 3 in length of parameres.

Female. Not examined.

Distribution. China (Taiwan).

Phenology. The male of L. yulaoensis was collected during mid-June.

Natural history. Typical plants for this species are still unknown. Adult longevity is around 20–25 days.
