Lectotype (Townsend in Kew Bull. 34: 135. 1979): Herb. Hermann 1: 2, No. 103, lower specimen (BM-000621231) .

Current name: Pupalia lappacea (L.) A. Juss. View in CoL View at ENA ( Amaranthaceae ).

Note: Although Townsend (in Nasir & Ali, Fl. W. Pakistan 71: 25. 1974) indicated 287.4 (LINN) as holotype, the sheet lacks a Species Plantarum number (i.e. “2”) and was a post-1753 addition to the herbarium, and is not original material for the name. The same author subsequently designated Hermann material as type.
