Description. Crown ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) light yellow. Pronotum and scutellum ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) black, lateral part of pronotum becoming yellow. Eyes ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) dark with some yellow, ocelli nearly translucent. Face ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) black, base of anteclypeus black, apex of anteclypeus yellowish gray. Forewings ( Figs 3, 4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) gray yellow and translucent, area near the apex of forewing gray, veins gray black. Hind wings ( Figs 3, 4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) gray.
Male pygofer ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11 – 15 ) appreciably longer than high, conically produced caudally. Subgenital ( Figs 11, 15 View FIGURES 11 – 15 ) with twelve fine setae on inside submargin and several long setae near apex. Aedeagus ( Figs 12–13 View FIGURES 11 – 15 ) swollen at base; dorsal apodeme with ventral margin somewhat flexed; processes on side of aedeagal shaft with three small spicules lamellate on ventral submargin, spacing of two contiguous spicules even; apex of aedeagal ventral processes bifurcate. Measurement. Length (including tegmen): 3, 6.3–6.5 mm.
Type material. Holotype 3, CHINA: Yunnan, Longling, 25 July 2002, coll. Li Zizhong. Paratypes: 33, same data as holotype.
Host plant. Unknown.
Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin words nigri- (black) and facialis (face), indicating the color of its face.
Remarks. This species resembles Multiformis longlingensis sp. nov., but it can be distinguished by its entirely black face ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) and by the bifurcate apices of the aedeagal ventral processes ( Figs 12–13 View FIGURES 11 – 15 ).
