Yelicones achterbergi Rishabanu, Binoy & Santhosh 2021 : India: Kerala, Kozhikode; ZSIK Kozhikode, Kerala, India.
Brief diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from the other Indian species in having a black first tergite, second tergite without basal triangular area; hind basitarsus ivory-yellow (without greyish patch); second tergite smooth except with shallow remnants of rugae at the anterior margin; fore wing with veins 1-CU1 2× 2-CU1.
Comments. This species can be identified using the original detailed description provided by Rishabanu et al. 2021. The original description based on a single male specimen mentions the total number as 35 antennomeres however it can be counted as 36 (34+2) as per Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 in Rishabanu et al. 2021. The comparative characters with other closely allied species are provided in Table 1 View TABLE 1 .
