Diagnosis. Male. Length (1.55–2.05 mm). Width (1.00– 1.45 mm). As P. canoi except most scales ochreous, antenna inserted at middle of rostrum. Pronotum with pterygoid expansion, scales condensed at these points.

Female. Length (1.40–2.10 mm). Width (0.90–1.35 mm). Differs from those of P. canoi in having a denser condensation of scales on both sides of the pronotum.

Geographic distribution. Guatemala (San Marcos) and Mexico (Chiapas). Fig. 100 View FIGURE 100 .

Derivation of the specific name. Patronym, named after Jack Schuster, a coleopterist at Universidad del Valle in Guatemala City.
