Remarks. This is a worldwide-distributed genus, with highest diversity in the Holarctic region ( Townes 1957). Priocnemis has been reported for Cuba ( Alayo 1969) and Puerto Rico ( Snelling & Torres 2004) – the last record has been related to human trade history. This is the first record of the genus Priocnemis for the Dominican Republic.
