Distribution in Iran. Fars, Hormozgan, Khorasan, Tehran (Kment & Kanyukova 2010), Golestan (Kanyukova 1997), Guilan (Linnavuori & Hosseini 2000; Kment & Kanyukova 2010).

General distribution. Euro-Turanian (Kanyukova 1997; Kment & Kanyukova 2010).

Habrus oxianus Kanyukova, 1997: 227 (as new species).

Distribution in Iran. Iran (no locality cited) (Kment & Kanyukova 2010). General distribution. Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan (Kanyukova 1997; Kment & Kanyukova 2010).

Comments. Iranian samples studied by Kment & Kanyukova (2010) were labelled as syntypes of Hebrus persicus Lindberg , but this name is a nomen nudum.

Distribution in Iran. Golestan (Kanyukova 1997), Khorasan (Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1998; Linnavuori & Hosseini 2000), Tehran, West Azarbaijan (Kment & Kanyukova 2010).

General distribution. Caspian from Ukraine to Central Asia, Russia (Kanyukova 1997; Kment & Kanyukova 2010).

Hebrus (Hebrus) pusillus pusillus (Fallén, 1807)

Lygaeus pusillus Fallén, 1807: 71 (as new species); Naeogeus erythrocephalus Laporte, 1833: 34 ; Hebrus pygmaeus Burmeister, 1835: 214 .

Distribution in Iran. Guilan (Cox & Cox 1995; Safavi 1984b; Modarres Awal 1997), Kordestan (Sakenin et al. 2010; Samin et al. 2011).

General distribution. Europe, Mediterranean basin, Pontian, Near East (Kanyukova 1997, Kment & Kanyukova 2010).

Comments. The taxonomic status of this species is not clear; some authors (e.g., Kanyukova) consider it a synomym of H. montanus .

The subspecies pusillus arabicus Linnavuori, 1971 known in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Iraq and probably may be discovered in Iran.
