Current name: Trifolium lappaceum L. ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: Many authors have followed Zohary (in Candollea 27: 144. 1972) in treating 930.28 (LINN) as the type. However, this sheet is not annotated in a way to link it to this name, and is indeed the lectotype of another species, T. alpestre L. Although it is possible that Zohary cited sheet 930.28 in error for 930.23 (apparently original material for this name), this cannot be safely assumed, and the name remains at present untypified.
