Main morphological characters (according to Song & Wilbert 1989). Size 45–60 × 15–20 µm in vivo. Body broadly fusiform. Two macronuclear nodules with a single micronucleus in between. Several contractile vacuoles forming a ventral and a dorsal row. Extrusomes rod-like, 6–7 µm long, scattered in cytoplasm and gathered to bundles in tail. Somatic ciliary pattern Amphileptus -like; 10–14 right and about 6 left kineties.
Distribution. This species has been recorded only at one locality, i.e., in the sediment from the Zubrovica stream, Low Tatra Mts ( Tirjaková & Vďačný 2013b).
