Lectotype (designated here by Ohba): Herb. Linn. No. 595.1 ( LINN) .

Current name: Phedimus aizoon (L.) View in CoL 't Hart & Eggli ( Crassulaceae ).

Note: See discussion by Fröderström (in Acta Horti Gothob. 7, Suppl.: 109, pl. XLIII, XLIV. 1931). Although 't Hart & Bleij (in Eggli, Ill. Handb. Succ. Pl., Crassulaceae : 197. 2003) indicated material in LINN as the type, this choice was published after 1 Jan 2001 and so the omission of the phrase "designated here" or an equivalent (Art. 7.11) means that it is not effective.
