( Figs. 118a–g View FIGURE 118 )

Diagnosis. The small, black bee P. friesei is characterised by its elongate face, which also occurs in P. stoeberia . The females of both species differ in the scutal surface, which is extensively and finely reticulate in P. friesei and without reticulation in P. stoeberia . Further, the basal area of propodeum is extensively wrinkled in P. friesei , whereas extensively reticulate in P. stoeberia . The male is unknown.
