Female macroptera. Body bicolourous brown and somber yellow. Head, thorax, abdominal segment IX and tube brown; basal 1/2 of tube somewhat dark, but with extreme base pale. Abdominal segment II shaded with brown anterolaterally; abdominal segment VIII very weakly shade with brown posterolaterally; the remaining abdominal segments somber yellow, segments III to V with a median indistinct brown marking just behind of antecostal suture. Antennal segment III yellowish, shaded with brown distally. Legs largely yellow, but fore coxae brown, and fore femora very weakly shaded with brown. Prominent body setae pale. Head ( Fig. 62 View FIGURES 62–71 ) a little longer than wide, 1.06 times as long as wide; dorsal surface sculptured with transverse reticulation, but with very weak fine polygonal reticulation at ocellar triangle. Cheeks very weakly incut behind eyes, weakly rounded, slightly narrowed to base. Postocular setae shorter than eyes. Eyes 0.43–0.44 times as long as head. Antennal segments VII and VIII somewhat broadly fused, segment VIII not constricted at base, almost cone-shaped ( Fig. 64 View FIGURES 62–71 ); segment III with three sense cones; segments IV and V with 15–16 and 8–10 short setae, respectively, on ventral surface, these setae arranged in almost two median longitudinal lines ( Fig. 65 View FIGURES 62–71 ); segment VI with 3 setae arranged in a median longitudinal line on ventral surface. Maxillary stylets retracted into middle of head capsule, but not reaching postocular setae, somewhat wider apart, a little wider than 1/3 of the head width apart at the basal collar of head. Maxillary bridge well developed. Pronotum ( Fig. 62 View FIGURES 62–71 ) 0.57 times as long as head, about twice as wide as long; epim the longest. Metanotum polygonally reticulated. Mesopresternum and mesoeusternum ( Fig. 67 View FIGURES 62–71 ) narrowly fused medially, with rather long sutures between them at both sides. Fore wing with 5–6 duplicated cilia. Fore femora moderately enlarged; fore tarsi unarmed ( Fig. 68 View FIGURES 62–71 ). Pelta hat-shaped. Intermediate abdominal tergites much wider than pronotum. S1 and S2 setae on tergite IX weakly expanded at apex, S2 longer than S1. Tube ( Fig. 71 View FIGURES 62–71 ) 0.54 times as long as head. Anal setae a little longer than tube.

Measurements. Female holotype in microns. Distended body length about 2000. Head length 181, width across cheeks 170. Compound eye dorsal length 78–80. Pronotum length 104, width 210. Fore wing length about 740. Tube length 97, width across base 60. Antenna length 383, segments III–VIII length (width) as follows: 57 (34), 62 (31), 51 (27), 47 (25), 48 (20), 28 (12). Postocular setae?60. Pronotal aa?45, am 47, ml?45, pa 55, epim 65. S1 setae on tergite IX 77–78, S2 setae on tergite IX 93–95. Anal setae about 100.

Female microptera. Colour very similar to macropterous female ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1–10 ). Head ( Fig. 63 View FIGURES 62–71 ) a little longer than wide, 1.07 times as long as wide. Cheeks very weakly rounded, very weakly narrowed to base. Postocular setae longer than eyes. Eyes small, 0.32 times as long as eyes. Ocelli absent. Antennal segment V with 4 to 5 short setae arranged in a median longitudinal line on ventral surface ( Fig. 66 View FIGURES 62–71 ). Pronotum 0.67 times as long as head, 1.97 times as wide as long; epim and pa subequal in length, about 1/2 of the median pronotal length. Pterothorax ( Fig. 63 View FIGURES 62–71 ) wider than long. Prospinasternum well developed. Tergites well developed, tergites II to VIII without sigmoid wing retaining setae. S1 and S2 setae on tergite IX very weakly expanded at apex, S1 a little shorter than S2. Tube 0.61 times as long as head. Anal setae almost as long as tube.

Measurements. Female paratype (mic.) in microns. Distended body length 1930. Head length 157, width across cheeks 147. Compound eye dorsal length about 50. Pronotum length 105, width 207. Fore wing length 170. Tube length 96, width across base 57. Antenna length about 350, segments III-VIII length (width) as follows: 53 (28), 52 (30), 45 (25), 43 (25), 43 (21), 30 (12). Postocular setae 55–58. Pronotal aa?, am about 40, ml?45, pa 50–54, epim 53–55. S1 setae on tergite IX 80–85, S2 setae on tergite IX 91–95. Anal setae 96–100.

Male macroptera. Colour and structure very similar to macropterous female ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1–10 ). Head 1.18 times as long as wide. Eyes 0.42 times as long as head. Antennal segment VI with 4–5 setae arranged in a median longitudinal line on ventral surface. Pronotum 0.63 times as long as head, 1.68 times as wide as long. Mesopresternum eroded medially, therefore the situation of fusion to mesoeusternum is unknown. Fore femora enlarged; fore tarsal tooth present ( Fig. 69 View FIGURES 62–71 ), well developed. Tergites II to VI wider than pronotum. Tube short, about half the length of head.

Measurements. Male paratype (mac.) in microns. Distended body length about 1700. Head length 180, width across cheeks 152. Compound eye dorsal length 75–76. Pronotum length 113, width 190. Fore wing length about 710. Tube length 85, width across base 52. Antenna length 370, segments III–VIII length (width) as follows: 55 (32), 58 (30), 48 (25), 49 (22), 48 (19), 27 (12). Postocular setae 55–60. Pronotal aa?35, am 40–42, ml 46–48, pa 48–50, epim 50–52. S1 setae on tergite IX 70–75, S2 setae on tergite IX 33–35. Anal setae about 100.

Male microptera. Very similar in colour and structure to micropterous female, but body smaller and abdomen slenderer. Head about 1.1 times as long as wide. Fore femora enlarged; fore tarsal tooth present.

Measurements. Male paratype (mic.) in microns. Distended body length about 1500. Head length 150, width across cheeks 135. Compound eye dorsal length 48–50. Pronotum length 115, width 190. Fore wing length 150. Tube length 85, width across base 52. Antenna length about 340, segments III–VIII length (width) as follows: 50 (28), 50 (30), 43 (25), 42.5 (22), 41 (20), 28 (12). Postocular setae?45. Pronotal aa 30–35, am 35–36, ml about 40, pa about 40, epim 45–46. S1 setae on tergite IX 75–76, S2 setae on tergite IX 29–31. Anal setae 95–100.

Type series. Holotype female (mac.): Indonesia, Java Is., Banyuwangi, Glemor, Tulung Rejo Sumber Gondo , on dead branches, 27.viii.2005 (SO) . Paratypes: Indonesia, Bali Is ., 1 male (mac.), Belimbing, alt. about 600m, on dead leaves and branches, 27.vii.1984 (SO); 1 female (mic.) and 1 male (mic.), 20km NE from Gilimanuk, Banyuwedan, see level, on dead branches, 29.viii.1984 (SO).

Remarks. A. dentipes is presumably related to A dasycornis and A. longior by having a series of short and stout setae on the ventral surface of intermediate antennal segments at least in the macropterous female. However, A. dentipes is unique in having stout fore tarsal tooth in male ( Fig. 69 View FIGURES 62–71 ). From A. dasycornis , A. dentipes can be distinguished easily by the narrowly fused mesopresternum and mesoeusternum ( Fig. 67 View FIGURES 62–71 ). From A. longior , A. dentipes can be distinguished by the shorter and wider apart maxillary stylets ( Figs. 62 & 63 View FIGURES 62–71 ).
