Description of intraspecific variation. Whitish yellow marks on head: present as a pair of marks on vertex ( Fig. 2C View FIGURE 2 ); a pair on vertex and a pair on clypeus ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ); on vertex, supra-clypeal area, clypeus and gena ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ) [both of HT ( Tereshkin, 2009) and Korean specimens (Jeong & Lee, 2008) have only a pair of marks on vertex]. Whitish yellow marks on mesosoma: present only as a small mark on posterior edge of scutellum; present on collar and posterodorsal margin of pronotum, subalar ridge ( Figs 2E, F View FIGURE 2 ) and a large mark on scutellum [both HT and Korean specimens have marks on collar and posterodorsal margin of pronotum, subalar ridge and scutellum]. Areolet: varies from quadrangular (anteriorly pointed, Fig. 2G View FIGURE 2 ) to pentagonal (anteriorly truncate) [both HT and Korean specimens have pentagonal areolet]. White mark on hind tarsus: varies from completely lacking ( Fig. 1B View FIGURE 1 ) to most of 2 nd tarsomere and whole of 3 rd and 4 th tarsomeres [both HT and Korean specimens have white mark on apex of 1 st tarsomere and whole of 2 nd to 4 th tarsomeres].

Description of female sternites ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ). Laterosternites of S2–5 separated from median sternites by crease; laterosternites of S2–4 strongly sclerotized, S5 weakly sclerotized. Sclerites of median S2–4 separated by median membrane, S5 and 6 not separated; sclerite of median S2 with wide weakly sclerotized area and rounded sclerotized area, opposite to thyridium and para thyridium respectively. S6 (hypopygium) with apical margin weakly protrude.

Distribution: Japan (Honshû, Kyûshû and Yakushima Is.); Korea, Russia.

Remarks. This is the first record of this species from Japan.
