Oxyurostylis tertia Zimmer, 1943a: 167 –169, Figs 59–61 (Type locality: Station 2835, Streamer Albatross, 26°42’30"N, 113°34’15"W, West coast of Baja California, Mexico; depth 10 m. Holotype female, USNM 92019).—Donath-Hernández 1987a: 73.—Bacescu 1992: 368 (Catalogue).

Geographic distribution. West coast of Baja California: Type locality and San Quintin Bay; Gulf of California: Bahia de los Angeles, in front of Percebu Lagoon.

Habitat. Found in sand and muddy substratum, depth 4– 17 m.

Observation. This species was not found in our samples.
