Material examined. HOLOTYPE ♂: Madagaskar, Majunga [Mahajunga], Hammerstein S., 1918, MIZ 187255 ( ZMPA). Other material 1♀: Antananarivo, 46 km NE of Ankazobe: Ambohitantel 18° 11.88’ S, 47° 16.89’ E, sclerophylforest- 700m, Malaise trap MA- 27–14, 20. I/1. II/2004, Irwin & Harin'Hala colls ( CASC).

Diagnosis. Rufo-testaceous interspersed with various pale yellow markings on head and metasoma, and tergites 1–2 black; head punctate granulate with clypeus smoother; clypeus weakly transverse; antenna with 28 flagellomeres; mesosoma punctate to punctate-granulate; propodeal carination complete; hind wing with 1/Cu & cu-a straight, distal abscissa of Cu absent; tergites 1–3 aciculate; ovipositor straight. CT 1.6; ML 1.0; IO 2.0; OO 1.1; Fl1 4.5; Fl15 1.5; Fl26 1.2; OT 2.2.

Description. MALE (Holotype). B: 7.5; A 4.6; F 3.7.

Color. Head pale yellow with ocellar triangle black, occiput dark brown and variable black and/or rufotestaceous markings on median face, clypeus and posterior margins of temples; flagellum rufo-testaceous with lower face lighter; mesosoma rufo-testaceous to dark brown, with more or less distinct yellow markings: ventral margin of pronotum, lateral margin of mesoscutum, notaulus, tegula and scutellum; legs brownish yellow, with lighter yellow markings: coxae, trochanters, femurs, tibiae and tibial spurs white; tergites 1–2 black, the following rufo-testaceous; ovipositor sheath dark brown; wings hyaline, pterostigma brown, its anterior margin yellowish.

Head. Vertex, frons and face shining, moderately punctate-granulate, clypeus smoother; face medially protruding with a small diamond-like protuberance below toruli; clypeus slightly transverse, convex, ventral margin regularly rounded and impressed; malar line long; mandibular teeth equal; ocellar triangle transverse; temples short, head distinctly constricted behind eyes; antenna with 28 flagellomeres.

Mesosoma. Mesonotum densely punctate granulate, notaulus distinct; scuto-scutellar groove deep and longitudinally striate; scutellum laterally hairy, lateral carina distinct from base to middle; dorsal margin of pronotum, mesopleuron and metapleuron densely punctate; propodeum shining, coriaceous and punctate; area superomedia twice longer than wide, slightly narrowed at apex, area petiolaris much larger than superomedia, apically transversely striate; propodeum and metapleuron with fine white adpressed pilosity. Wings. Fore wing with rs-m basal to 2m-cu by 0.3x its length; hind wing with 1/Cu & cu-a straight, distal abscissa of Cu absent. Legs. Tarsal claws basally pectinate.

Metasoma. Apex of tergite 1and tergites 2–3 aciculate and finely coriaceous.

FEMALE (1 specimen). B: 7.1; A 4.4; F: 3.4.Similar to male; ovipositor long and almost straight.
