Habitat.

Shallow water ( Huber 2015).

Distribution.

Indo-West Pacific, from southern China to New Guinea ( Huber 2015).

Record in Thailand.

Gulf of Thailand ( Wells et al. 2021).

Taxonomic remarks and comparisons.

Tellina (Tellinides) sp. in Robba et al. (2002) was identified as belonging to this species by Huber (2015). This species differs from its similar species, Tellinides timorensis Lamarck, 1818 , by having a higher shell that lacks the posterior truncation with oblique anterior striae fading posteriorly ( Robba et al. 2002; Huber 2015).
