( Figs 211–216 View FIGURES 211–216 , Table 11)
Type: Holotype male, MD 133 , Marofototra (Antalaha, Antsiranana), spring brook 2, right tributary of Rivière Fandramanana (tributary of MD 132 ), 120 m asl, 22.0 °C, 19 µS/cm, 02.11.2001, mounted.
Habitat: Spring brook at 120 m asl.
Distribution: Madagascar (North-eastern rainforest region, Antalaha).
Derivatio nominis: Angulatus (Latin) — angular; referring to the very characteristic lateral protrusions on the venter of the species.
Diagnosis: Idiosoma relatively small, oval; ridge on dorsal shield relatively remote from margin, posterior part not visible; coxal field anteriorly protruding, medial margins of Cx-I and -III relatively long; Cxgl-2 centrally at posterior margin of Cx-II; Cxgl-4 medial on Cx-III; genital field small, caudally not surpassing genital bay; acetabula rounded-oval; ventral shield with distinct lateral protrusions beside Lgl-3; legs compact, claws on leg-I to -III with distinct, single ventral and dorsal clawlet; leg-IV-6 with two mid-sized terminal setae; capitulum compact; palp typical, ventral margin of P2 straight to slightly concave, dorsal margin proximally with distinct knee, ventral seta strong.
Description, male (n = 1): Idiosoma broad-oval ( Fig. 211 View FIGURES 211–216 ), pale purple-greyish; dorsal shield oval (L/W 417/314), glandularia far marginal, Dgl-3 to -5 with stronger setae, Dgl-6 and Lgl-4 with smaller setae; dorsal shield centrally with large pores, peripheral ridge relatively central, pear-shaped, anteriorly tapering, caudally broad, caudal margin indistinct; soft integument in dorsal furrow coarsely lined ( Fig. 212 View FIGURES 211–216 ); ventral shield broad-oval (L/W 471/353); Cx-I to -III together almost circular, anteriorly surpassing ventral shield; medial margin Cx-I long (64), Cx-III shorter (34) ( Fig. 211 View FIGURES 211–216 ); Cxgl-2 far medial, near posterior margin of Cx-II, Cxgl- 4 centrally in medial third of Cx-III, remote from anterior margin; Cx-IV caudally bluntly rounded, medial margins indistinct, lateral ridge curved, oblique from medio-rostral to latero-caudal ( Fig. 211 View FIGURES 211–216 ); genital field small, rounded-oval (L/W 83/74), anteriorly and posteriorly rounded, laterally convex, caudally not extended beyond genital bay; acetabula mid-sized, oval (Ac1 and Ac3 far remote from anterior and caudal end of genital flaps respectively), setae on genital flaps small ( Fig. 211 View FIGURES 211–216 ); setae of Vgl-1 slightly posterior caudal margin of Cx-IV, Vgl-3 beside latero-caudal margin of Cx-IV; excretory pore and Vgl-2 on one line remote from caudal margin of ventral shield, Vgl-4 close to caudo-lateral margin; Lgl-1 to -3 directly at lateral margin, beside Lgl-3 ventral shield bears small, sharp lateral protrusions ( Fig. 211 View FIGURES 211–216 ); legs compact with many broad, compact and fine hair-like setae; claws on leg-I to -III strong, curved, with large dorsal and ventral clawlet ( Fig. 213 View FIGURES 211–216 ); leg-IV with many heavy setae, terminal segment compact, distally tapering, with two mid-sized terminal setae ( Fig. 214 View FIGURES 211–216 ); capitulum compact, ventral margin slightly convex, rostrum short ( Fig. 215 View FIGURES 211–216 ); chelicera typical; palp compact; P2 with four dorsal setae, dorsal margin proximally forming a nearly rectangular knee; ventral margin slightly concave, ventro-laterally with slight distal protrusion ( Fig. 216 View FIGURES 211–216 ) ventral seta long, strong, pointed, slightly lateral; P3 with two dorsal setae; P4 with small ventral and ventro-distal protrusions, ventral setae relatively central; P5 compact ( Fig. 216 View FIGURES 211–216 ).
