Dasypogon rhypae Walker, 1849: 305 View in CoL . Type locality: Bangladesh (Sylhet [Silhet]) [Syntypes ♂, ♀, NHMUK]. World distribution: Bangladesh [not India] ( Walker 1849: 305).
Note: No occurrence records are currently known from modern India. The distribution citation by Lal (1960: 50) and Oldroyd (1975: 121) refers to the type locality, Sylhet (city), which was located in pre-partition British India but is now part of Bangladesh.
