World distribution: Bangladesh, Borneo [not India] ( Macquart 1850: 366; Oldroyd 1975: 120; Joseph & Parui 1990a: 25).
Note: No occurrence records are currently known from modern India. Previous Indian occurrence citations (e.g., Lal 1960: 47; Oldroyd 1975: 120; Joseph & Parui 1990a: 25) refers to the type locality, Sylhet (city), which was located in pre-partition British India but is now part of Bangladesh.
