World distribution: Indonesia? [not India] ( Walker 1851: 135).

Note: No confirmed occurrence records are known from India. All Indian occurrence citations (e.g., Ricardo 1922: 43; Lal 1960: 39) appear to trace back to the apparently incorrect original type locality statement “East India ” later altered to “East Indies” ( Walker 1855: 726; Oldroyd 1975: 151).
