Indian distribution: India [no further locality] ( Lal 1960: 44; Joseph & Parui 1983a: 323).

World distribution: Laos [not India] ( Oldroyd 1975: 128).

Note: The type locality of D. vitalisi is recorded as ‘‘Hinter Indien’’ [beyond India]. Lal (1960: 44) and Joseph & Parui (1983a: 323) later listed its occurrence in India without any specimen base. Oldroyd (1975: 128) also listed ‘Hinter Indien’ in his catalog as the type locality but added Laos in distribution.
