Spialia delagoae Trimen, 1898 View in CoL
Like the last, this species was placed in the delagoae group of species by De Jong (1978). There is a small pocket of this species found in north-west Kenya and north-east Uganda which is considerably isolated from the main distribution in southern Africa . De Jong (1978) lists just four specimens from Kenya, where it is almost unknown. In southern Africa it is a species of the bushveld, and Dickson & Kroon (1978) note that it flies close to the ground in short grass, settling on flowers or damp mud. It has also been reported feeding at fresh baboon dung (Swanepoel 1953). The food plants and life history are unknown.
