Diagnosis. This species is similar to A. apioides Kuznetsov et Ren in external appearance but can be separated from the latter by the much larger body size and the pointed apex of penis ( Fig. 4e View FIGURE 4 ).

Description. TL: 1.92–1.98 mm, TW: 1.42–1.48 mm, TH: 0.94–0.97 mm, TL/TW: 1.33–1.36, EL/EW: 1.08– 1.10, PL/PW: 0.50–0.51, HW/PW: 0.65–0.67, PW/EW: 0.65–0.66.

Body oval, moderately convex, dorsum with pale yellow pubescence ( Figs 4a–c View FIGURE 4 ). Head, antennae and mouthparts yellowish brown ( Fig. 4c View FIGURE 4 ), tip of mandibles dark brown. Pronotum and scutellar shield yellowish brown. Elytra yellowish brown ( Figs 4a–c View FIGURE 4 ). Underside yellowish brown. Legs yellow.

Head with fine frontal punctures, slightly larger than eye facets, 1.0–2.0 diameters apart. Eye densely faceted, interocular distance 0.4 times of head width ( Fig. 4c View FIGURE 4 ). Pronotal punctures slightly larger than those on frons, 1.0–2.0 diameters apart. Surface of elytra with punctures much larger than those on pronotum, separated by 0.5–3.0 diameters.

Abdominal postcoxal lines complete and slightly recurved, reaching about 1/2 length of ventrite 1 ( Fig. 4d View FIGURE 4 ), area enclosed by the lines finely and sparsely punctate, irregularly distributed, broadly smooth along the lines; ventrite 1 with fine and sparse punctures at middle.

Male genitalia. Penis slender, slightly broadened at base, apex pointed ( Fig. 4e View FIGURE 4 ); tegminal strut stout with membranous appendages on both sides ( Fig. 4g View FIGURE 4 ); tegmen with penis guide slightly shorter than 1/2 length of parameres, in lateral view widest at base, gradually tapering to apex ( Fig. 4f View FIGURE 4 ); in inner view, penis guide stout and subtriangular, widest at base, gradually narrowing to apex ( Fig. 4g View FIGURE 4 ); parameres clavate and elongate with few setae at apex ( Figs 4f–g View FIGURE 4 ).

Type material. Holotype: male, No. SCAU (E)17037, CHINA: Yunnan: Gongxin Township , Menglian County, ca 1500 m, 8. V. 2008, Wang XM et al. leg ( SCAU) . Paratypes: Yunnan: 2♂, Xiaomengyang, Xishuangbanna , 27. IV. 2008, Wang XM et al. leg . 1♀, Dadugang, Xishuangbanna , ca 1050 m, 5. V. 2009, Chen XS et al. leg . 2♀, Lafu, Menglian , ca 1130 m, 7. Distribution. China (Yunnan); Laos.

Etymology. The specific epithet is given after Gongxin Township, Yunnan, the type locality.
