DISTRIBUTION: Endemic to Brazil, currently known only from the type locality (Amapá State, Laranjal do Jari ) .
HABITAT RECORDS: Stream, with a bed of gravel, bedrock and stones with frequent riparian roots and associated algae. ( Benetti et al. 2020).
