Vespa norvegicoides Sladen 1918:71. Lectotype female; Amherst, Nova Scotia (OTTAWA).
Distribution.
Dolichovespula norvegicoides is relatively rarely collected, although it occurs widely throughout northern North America and further south along mountain ranges.
Biology.
This species builds small, aerial nests.
