Description. Body yellow brown, head and antenna black, legs yellow. Forebody sparsely pubescent, punctate and striate. Body length [average] male, 3.62 mm; female, 3.54 mm.

Male: Head (Fig. 6-1C, 6-2A) slightly broader than pronotum. Disc with less punctures and dense wrinkles, vertex convex, mid-longitudinal sulcus deep, with deep impression on each side before base. Supra-antennal ridge with margin incrassate and extremely convex. Temples dilated, approximately two times as long as eyes. Clypeus nearly square, about 1/3 of total head length, glabrous, with anterior margin rounded and protruded. Epistomal suture with lateral portions straight and parallel, running backward to level of anterior margin of eyes.

Occipital suture straight or slightly curved forward in middle. Antenna filiform, segment IV globular, VI–X short and transverse, with ultimate article stilliform. Neck without smooth area.

Pronotum (Fig. 6-1D, 6-2A) transverse, broadest at near anterior 1/3; disc slightly convex, punctured, with sparse moderate striae laterally; mid-longitudinal sulcus deep, narrowing to base, with two broader and shallower paramedial sulci; bordered by much sharper longitudinal carina between mid-longitudinal sulcus and paramedial sulcus; two shallow para-lateral depressions close to lateral margins. Anterior margin almost stright. Lateral and posterior margins divided by obtuse posterior angles. Lateral margin weakly crenate on posterior 1/4 or not crenate at all. Scutellum with crest-shaped impression with median lobe sharply pointed. Elytra densely sculptured and punctured, not pubescent; lateral margin curved and posterior margins truncate. Abdomen coriaceous, covered with punctures and pubescence. Sternite VII (Fig. 6-1G, 6-2C) with posterior margin almost straight or slightly emarginate and bearing long setae laterally. Sternite VIII (Fig. 6-1H, 6-2D) with posterior margin broadly biemarginate and thus forming triangulate plate in middle, carrying long setae laterally; middle angle rounded obtusely and more angulate in form, with tip slightly beyond lateral angles posteriorly.

Aedeagus (Fig. 6-1J–L, 6-3A–C) with median lobe elongate, inflated at base and shortly narrowing to apex; apical orifice large and ventral orifice crescentic; internal sac of median lobe with simple sclerites. Parameres (Fig. 6-1N, 6-3E) arm-like, closely situated to each other and twining around median lobe, with apex spoon-like; with thick short seta at middle of ventral edge of each paramere.

Female. Head (Fig. 6-1E, 6-2B) coriaceous, smaller than male; supra-antennal ridge with margin running backward to base. Temples shorter than eyes. Sternite VII (Fig. 6-2E) with posterior margin straight or slightly protruded, with long setae nearby. Sternite VIII (Fig. 6- 1I, 6-2F) with posterior margin broadly rounded and protruded. Spermatheca (Fig. 6-1N, 6-3E) bulb-like at base and with apical part clavate and slightly curved.

Distribution. China (Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Sichuan).

Etymology. The species epithet is from the Latin terms " niteli- " (hell, glabrous) and "sculptilis " (sculptured), to indicate the relative hell shinning and clear patterns of the striae and punctures on head.

Differential diagnosis. This new species is similar to A. sikkimi ( Fauvel, 1905) in appearance. It can be distinguished from the latter by having head and pronotum with sculptures deeper and coarser, the clypeus is depressed, male sternite VII is nearly straight or weakly emarginate, sternite VIII is rounded and obtusely angulate in the middle; whereas A. sikkimi ( Fauvel, 1905) has the clypeus depressed, the male sternite VII straight, with two small tubercles, and the sternite VIII angulate in the middle. The new species can also be distinguished from other species of this group by the structure of aedeagus.
