Specimens examined. Jarabacoa (Cordillera Central), 30-IX-2008, three females and one male on Roystonea hispaniolana Bailey (Arecaceae) View in CoL . Las Galeras (Peninsula de Samaná), 3-X-2008, two females and one male on Mangifera indica View in CoL L. ( Anacardiaceae View in CoL ); two females on Carica papaya L. ( Caricaceae ); one female and three males on Cecropia peltata View in CoL L. ( Cecropiaceae ).

Remarks. This species is almost cosmopolitan, often reported from regions between 40° N and 40° S latitude. The measurements of four females collected agree well with those Denmark & Muma (1989).
