Remarks. The species appears to represent a complex of several species ( Apel & Spiridonov 1998; Mantelatto et al. 2009; also see Rathbun 1906). Thalamita admete var. edwardsi Borradaile, 1900 , is treated here as a junior synonym (see Wee & Ng 1995; Ng et al. 2008) pending a revision of the species group.

Habitat. Shallow subtidal to 120 m.
