Taxonomy. Trautwein (2007)

Geographical distribution. Tropical Pacific Ocean, including the Northwest Hawaiian Is. and Johnston Atoll, but absent in the main Hawaiian Is.

Habitat. Symbiont of scleractinian reef corals (species of Acropora ); shallow subtidal.
