Others, however, are questionable because the specimens were not available for proper identification. Taxonomy. Serène (1984, as Trapezia ferruginea ), Castro (1997a, 1998, as T. ferruginea ), Castro et al. (2004) Geographical distribution. Across Indo-West Pacific and Tropical Eastern Pacific regions. Habitat. Symbiont of scleractinian reef corals ( Pocillopora and other pocilloporids); shallow subtidal to 55 m.
