Edmondson (1962a) confused T. flavopunctata with T. rufopunctata (Herbst, 1799) , which is evident from BPBM specimens identified by him (see Castro 1998). Taxonomy. Symbiont of scleractinian reef corals ( Pocillopora and other pocilloporids); shallow subtidal to 26 m.
