Remarks. Recorded once from the Hawaiian Is. ( Rathbun 1906, as Menippe convexa ) but no subsequent records are known from the archipelago. Fouling species ( Yeo et al. 2011) that could have been introduced.

Geographical distribution. Across Indo-West Pacific region; introduced to the Mediterranean Sea ( Brockerhoff & McLay 2011) and New Zealand ( Ahyong & Wilkens 2011).

Habitat. Shallow subtidal to 35 m.
