Coenobita olivieri Owen, 1839 View in CoL , was described, possibly in error, from the Hawaiian Is. ( Owen 1839: 84), supposedly from material collected by Randall (1840: 136), but never recorded again (see Edmondson 1925: 22, McLaughlin et al. 2005: 302, note).
